Remember the tragedy of 9/11? One of the most epic attacks on Americans and the outcome was people working together. This resulted in stricter flight regulations and safety protocols that are still used today.
Based in Joplin MO, we witnessed firsthand, the destructive EF-5 tornado on May 22, 2011. We saw people coming from all parts of the United States to help us during this time of crisis. Restaurants from neighboring cities donated food and time to serve to volunteers. Many church organizations arrived by the busload. The Kansas City Chiefs and cheerleaders were here as well. Too many groups to mention here but volunteers continued their efforts for a solid 60 days after the tornado. It was amazing to see the enormous amounts of compassion. The positives from this was a lot more residents in Joplin have tornado shelters and are better prepared.
These are all examples of the American spirit. You and I together, will beat this Coronavirus by during our part and hopefully be a lot more prepared for something like this in the future.
